An independent, non-profit organization, JCAHO was established to improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provisions of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations.

To be honored with the Joint Commission's HCSS Certification, Supplemental Health Care's Tampa divisions specifically complied with national standards involving staff's competency, staff placement procedures and employee performance monitoring.
