PARK CITY, UTAH (March 13, 2009) - Supplemental Health Care has created a new twist on a classic recruiting tool – the referral bonus. In fact, throw out any thoughts of an old fashioned “get paid a couple of hundred bucks for referring someone” kind of referral program. Their Helping Hands referral program keeps on paying, month-after-month-after-month.
“We want the nurses and therapists who work for us to share in our success,” said Mike Jacoutot, Chief Executive Officer of Supplemental Health Care. “When one of our health care professionals helps us by referring a friend or family member, we think they deserve more than a onetime payment. With Helping Hands, they earn one dollar per hour for every hour that the person they referred works for us, for as long as they work for us!”
The program is surprisingly simple. To qualify, a nurse or therapist only has to work for Supplemental Health Care one shift every twelve months. Once qualified, the program automatically tracks the people referred and the number of hours they work. At the end of each month, Supplemental Health Care cuts checks to each referrer, paying them one dollar for every hour the referred person worked during the month. There really are not any limits on the Helping Hands program. Not only will the nurse or therapist continue to earn money each month for as long as their referral works, but they can refer as many people as they would like.
The program has been in place for a couple of years and the company has hundreds of people participating in it nationwide. “It’s really amazing,” added Mike Dunagan, Vice President of Recruitment and Retention, “we have some people making thousands of dollars from Helping Hands each year. It’s like having a second job without having to do anything except introduce someone you know to a great company.”
