SUPPLEMENTAL HEALTH CARE UPHOLDS COMPANY'S "I CARE"
CORE VALUES THROUGH HURRICANE SUPPORT EFFORTS
PARK CITY, UT, October 31, 2005 - Supplemental Health Care, Inc., the world's fastest growing health care staffing company, has dedicated itself to helping those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita through various financial and staffing support efforts. Throughout this recovery process, Supplemental Health Care's guiding core values, "I CARE" (Integrity, Candor, Accountability, Respect and Excellence), have been at the foundation of the company's actions. Supplemental Health Care immediately dispatched nurses and therapists to the evacuation locales, and has pledged to donate up to $50,000 to the American Red Cross for its hurricane relief campaign as part of a companywide fundraiser. Additionally, the fact that many of the Houston-area employees who were forced to evacuate their work place were paid normal salaries for time spent away from work further illustrates the company's level of commitment.
"The need for skilled health care professionals in the Gulf Coast and Texas has been enormous, and without hesitation we immediately sent our nurses and therapists to the evacuation sites to assist in medical care for the hurricane victims," said Mike Jacoutot, Supplemental Health Care president and CEO, "By providing regional hospitals and nursing facilities with increased numbers of skilled health care workers, as well as motivating our nationwide employees to join us in making a substantial monetary donation to the American Red Cross, we hope to contribute to the quick recovery of those affected by Katrina and Rita."
Supplemental Health Care's Buffalo, New York travel division specifically hired additional nurses as a direct result of the increased need for health care professionals in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. These nurses were dispatched to medical facilities in Florida, Texas, Georgia, New York and Minnesota to treat displaced victims.
"We are committed to assisting the medical industry with their rising staffing demands as the affected areas rebuild over the next several months and are prepared to do the same in regions that have been affected by Hurricane Wilma," added Jacoutot.
Supplemental Health Care's core values of integrity, candor, accountability, respect and excellence are infused into every division and branch of the company, and were especially apparent in the Houston office during Hurricane Rita.
"The safety and needs of our health care workers are of utmost importance to us, as the unprecedented decision to pay many of our displaced Houston nurses and therapists during Hurricane Rita is a clear testament to the I CARE company values," said Supplemental Health Care's Houston division manager, Harold Entz.
Based in Park City, Utah, Supplemental Health Care, Inc., http://www.supplementalhealthcare.com, has been providing health care organizations better access to skilled nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists and rad-tech professionals for more than 20 years.
